Day 23 - Lady Boot Cove to Monday Anchorage

And it rained. And it rained. And rained. And rained. And just when we thought it was letting up a bit – it started to come down even harder. It was like the 3 weeks we’ve been out here had saved up all of its precipitation to fall at once. It might be wet and a little cold, but there are not many things more relaxing than the sound of rain on the outside of a boat. Especially when you are bundled up inside with the heater on, and you have no particular place to go. I even dreamt about sleeping.

We waited to see if it would clear a little before we headed out. With no reprieve in sight, Cap’n Adam hopped in the dinghy to untie the stern line from the shore, we hoisted the anchor, and we were back on our way. We travelled slowly down Misty Passage, it certainly lived up to its name today. We came around the tip of Tracey Island, and found a good spot to anchor in Monday Anchorage.

We hollered greetings to some kayakers camping on the shore. With our soaked clothing lined up strategically near the heating ducts, we bundled back up to spend a lazy day inside. Good thing we both have good books to read.
